If you live in Taiwan
Apply in person at the Foreign Affairs Division, Taipei City Police Department, to obtain a police certificate.
AND
If you reside outside of Taipei, contact your local city or county police headquarters.

* Copy of your Alien Resident Certificate (ARC), if applicable.


If you live outside Taiwan
You should contact the Foreign Affairs Division, Taipei City Police Department, to obtain a police certificate

ID standard:
(1)  R.O.C. citizens: Original and one copy of new I.D. card or household registration
      (issued within one month).  Those who need a bilingual Chinese/English version
      should have a copy of the photo page of your passport in addition.
(2)  Overseas Chinese: Original and one copy of the photo page of your passport.
(3)  Citizens of China, Hong Kong and Macao: Original and one copy of the photo page
       of your Taiwan Region Residence Certificate.
(4)  Foreign Nationals: Passport and A.R.C and photocopy of both the documents.
